Olive trees are known as “trees of eternity” for their capacity to regenerate. They are a universal symbol of life, hope, peace, and victory and an important part of Palestinian culture, heritage, and identity. Dating back 4,000 years ago, they are cherished for not just their historical presence, but their symbolism and economic significance. The olive sector, which includes olive oil, table olives, and soap, supports 80,000 families and is worth $160- $190 million (USD). …
Here’s how you can help Palestine this Ramadan
This Ramadan, when we’re asked the repetitive and yet comical question, “do you have to fast for 30 days straight?” Perhaps our answer won’t be as laughably obvious as it always is. Perhaps our answer, and our fasting regimen, may be a little more complicated this time around.
Don’t freak out. For the most part, the rules are still the same. Abstain from food and drink; yes, not even water; no, you can’t chew gum. Do all of these things only from dawn to sunset, and then, you are free until the…
On February 7th and 14th, AMP-MN and Jewish Voices For Peace (JVP) teamed up to host a virtual “movie screening” and discussion on The Lobby, Al-Jazeera’s documentary which exposes the Zionist lobby’s influence campaign targeting Palestine Advocacy in the US. Al-Jazeera commissioned an undercover investigation of the lobby’s various branches, including their legislative influence, campus initiatives, and blacklisting. Writing and photography by Nausheena Hussain.
Anxiety at the pit of my belly as I get pulled aside for increased security at Ben Gurion Airport.
Blessed for all the amenities and security I have- home, family, money, food, clothing
Confused how anyone of a faith can oppress another or take a life
Despair — are interfaith relationships just a fantasy we tell ourselves to sleep better at night?
Elated to pray where the Prophets once prayed, to be invited to the third holiest mosque!

It seemed to lend itself to work that calls out laws which oppressed.
So I went on to immerse myself in it, writing tons of poetry…

In a year that has been marked by tragedy and resilience, sorrow and celebration, challenges and wins, we are incredibly grateful to find ourselves stronger, bigger, and one year closer to a Free Palestine 🇵🇸
There is an international campaign to #boycottpillsbury. What’s the story?
In February of 2020, the United Nations published a list of companies violating Palestinian rights like facilitating the construction, expansion or maintenance of Israeli settlements or the demolition of Palestinian housing and property. The United Nations named General Mills, a Minnesota-based corporation, as one of seven United States businesses violating international law by operating on occupied Palestinian territories. According to the report, General Mills is operating a Pillsbury factory in Atarot Industrial Zone, an illegal Israeli settlement in East Jerusalem illegally annexed after the 1967 war. The operation of this…
